Brevard County has a humid subtropical climate and 236 sunny days per year on average. July highs are around 90 degrees and January lows are around 52 degrees. Brevard gets approximately 52 inches of rain annually. And no snow!
Brevard, Florida Demographics
More than a half million people call the Space Coast home, and more than one quarter million are in the workforce, with just over 45 percent of the population between ages of 20 and 54. Of those over 25, almost 90 percent have a high school diploma or higher, 28 percent hold at least a bachelor’s degree, and slightly more than 11 percent earned graduate degrees. The median household income was just over $49,000, with about 28 percent at an income of $75,000 or more. Single and two person households with no children make up about 70 percent of homes in Brevard County. Palm Bay in the south part of the county is the largest municipality by population, followed by Melbourne and Titusville. Melbourne Village is the smallest at about 700 people. Almost 10 percent of Brevard residents are black, 1.5 percent are reportedly to be Asian, and more than 6 percent are Hispanic. That leaves approximately 84% Caucasian.
