Florida's shining star on the Space Coast has to be the Cocoa Beach shore. An authentic attraction for tourists and Florida residents alike. Crowds flock to this famous seashore resort town by the thousands to experience a mecca of great surfing, fishing, sunbathing or just playing in the sun. Cocoa Beach has led the area in becoming one of the state's top-rated venues for a leisure lifestyle. Cocoa Beach Pier juts out over the ocean providing spectacular views of the coastal landscape and provides a popular spot for anglers who reel in more species of fish than you can list. Once you're in town, you can park your car and stroll the sidewalks of Atlantic Avenue and shop until you drop. Dozens of gift shops, eateries, clubs, and entertainment line the boulevard all through town. Do not forget to stop by the world-famous Ron Jon's Surf Shop and grab a t-shirt or two for souvenirs. Cocoa Beach wears the label of Surfing Capital of the East Coast; it is feasible to think that Ron Jon's t-shirts had more influence on that title, than the waves.
In the evenings the strip comes alive as visitors and residents take to the town for a night's excursion. Dining in one of Cocoa Beaches' fine restaurants, and then perhaps a little club hopping to enjoy a libation, some live music, and dancing.
If you are pondering a move to the Cocoa Beach area, you can rest assured that you will have a vast assortment of homes in which to choose. Ocean-front and river-view condominium living is very popular in Cocoa Beach, and both modest and upscale developments are easy to find once you've arrived. If life in town is not your cup of tea, just a short distance from the teeming beach scene are homes ranging in size from single lots to multiple-acre estates. Maybe you would like a house on “I Dream of Jeannie Lane”, or travel across the Minute Man Causeway to browse the golf course communities.
Just north and south of Cocoa Beach are a wide selection of luxurious riverfront estates and other waterside properties. Almost all the Cocoa Beach riverside lots have the convenience of boat docks, and the added comfort of private swimming pools. Avid bird watchers can find many abodes along the Thousand Islands Wildlife Preserve, located near the Minute Man Causeway. A closer look can be obtained by joining one of the regular kayak tours through the preserve.
