A game of dominoes hosted by Henry Titus back in 1873 decided the name of what is now known as Titusville, a thirty-four square mile town in the northern section of Brevard County. Today pastimes have branched out considerably from dominoes, with residents enjoying outdoor activities such as fishing, boating, and numerous water sports. Being just across the river from the Kennedy Space Center gives Titusville homeowners some of the best views of rocket launches, while being just a hop away from Christmas, FL makes for some neat holiday experiences as well.
Titusville homes vary widely in size and price range depending upon the neighborhood and proximity to the river. Generally, Titusville is known for an affordable cost of living and plenty of things to do. The downtown Titusville Playhouse hosts top-notch community performances and the stunning Chain of Lakes park is a popular place for runners, families, and softball players. There’s a reason why Titusville is known as The Miracle City—perhaps because residents think it’s a little piece of heaven on earth!
